Common help
Start with the essentials.
These answers cover the settings and features most people need to find first.
I can’t sign in. What should I do?
Check that you are using the same sign-in method you used to create your Aviate account: email, Google or Apple. If that does not resolve the issue, send a support enquiry with the email address associated with your account.
How do I delete my account?
In the Aviate app, open Settings and select Delete Account. This permanently removes your login details, learning progress and associated account data from Aviate’s systems. It cannot be undone.
How do I change my learning track?
Open Settings and select Learning Track to switch between available tracks. Your progress is saved separately for each track, so you can continue where you left off when you switch back.
Can I use Aviate offline?
Some parts of Aviate can be viewed without an internet connection. Account synchronisation, subscriptions, voice exercises and progress updates require a connection.
Aviate Pro
Purchases and subscriptions.
Aviate Pro is purchased through Apple’s App Store as an in-app purchase.
How do I restore Aviate Pro?
If you have already purchased Aviate Pro and it is not active, open Settings in Aviate and tap Restore Purchases. Make sure you are signed in to the same Apple ID used for the purchase.
My subscription is not unlocking Pro features.
First check that you are using the Apple ID associated with the purchase, then open Settings and tap Restore Purchases. If it is still not active, send a support enquiry and include the email address associated with your Aviate account.
How does Aviate Pro billing work?
Aviate Pro is NZ$11.99/month. The subscription auto-renews until cancelled, and you can cancel anytime through your Apple subscription settings. Aviate does not offer website checkout or make refund promises.
What can I use without subscribing?
Free users can complete the core Air Law and Flight Radio learning over time with 1 Daily Flight each day, answer 5 Practice Round questions a day and use 1 lifetime Groundwork session. Pro provides up to 10 Daily Flights a day, unlimited Practice Round and Groundwork, Advanced Circuit and the full Lesson Library.
Flight Radio
Voice exercises and microphone access.
Flight Radio practice is designed to help you listen, speak and reflect before making calls in the aircraft.
Why does Aviate ask for microphone access?
Microphone access is only needed for optional Flight Radio voice exercises. Some core Flight Radio lessons include voice exercises, and every Flight Radio Advanced Circuit includes at least one.
When does Aviate record audio?
Aviate records only after you tap Start Recording for a voice exercise. The recording is processed to provide educational feedback; Aviate does not permanently store the original audio after analysis. It is not continuously listening.
How do I report a bug or suggest a feature?
Use the support enquiry form below and include as much detail as you can, such as what you were trying to do and what happened. Feedback helps Aviate improve.
